Katherine Siefker, DVM

Dr. Katherine Siefker grew up in Maryland and has always had a love of animals from a young age.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio.  She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  Dr. Katherine, as she is known by clients, has worked at Spotsylvania Animal Hospital since graduation.  She treats dogs, cats, exotics, and the occasional farm animal!  She has an interest in preventative health care, pain management, and the human animal bond.

She is married to a wonderful husband and has four amazing children who keep them very busy!  Dr. Katherine also has two Great Danes and one cat at home.  When she is not working or hanging out with her family, she likes to take naps!  She also enjoys reading, running, and enjoying a leisurely walk with her dogs.


Jennifer Dumire, LVT

Jennifer has worked with us since 2003. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2007 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Her interests include small animal and reptile husbandry, canine reproduction, behavior and providing client education.

In her spare time, Jennifer has a daughter that keeps her busy. She also enjoys showing dogs in conformation and rally obedience, swimming and spending time outside. Jennifer and her daughter Gabbie live at home with a bull mastiff, bearded collie, boxer, and various reptiles.


Oksana M-Sturm, LVT

Oksana  joined the Spotsylvania Animal Hospital family in 2015.  She grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She and her husband moved to Bethlehem Pennsylvania where she graduated from AVMA accredited Northampton Community College as a Veterinary Technician.  

In her spare time Oksana loves to be with her husband, Douglas, and their fur children. Oksana and Douglas have two dogs named Max and Maya, as well as two cats named Jax and Isabella.  Oksana has always had a love for animals from an early age and enjoys working with them on a daily basis.


Margaret Washington, Manager

Margaret Washington was born and raised in King George County.  After studying Business Administration at Germanna Community College and raising her daughter, Demetria, she moved to Spotsylvania.  Margaret then joined Spotsylvania Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant in the spring of 1996.  Currently, Margaret is the Patent Care Coordinator and Business Office Manager at the hospital which encompasses a myriad of duties.  When not working she enjoys spending time with her daughter, granddaughter and her spirited six year old lab Frankie.
